Experience

I started out in horticulture during my teenage years at a nursery in Sevenoaks, Kent which I returned to later as an adult working as a plant sales advisor. This exposed me to a sea of every plant type and their and many forgettable and unforgettable latin names. After leaving school I worked in grounds and garden maintenance both commercial and residential, briefly for a tree surgeon and laboured for small to large scale landscaping companies eventually becoming a project manager and running garden renovations across London and surrounding areas. In between companies, I made my own simple but effective designs and builds for my own clients, which introduced me to the idea of garden design.

Throughout these years I ran and carried out all landscaping and gardening duties and learnt from the experts in both fields, working in small city gardens to grand country gardens. Alongside these roles, my wife and I have grown our own rooftop garden from a once barren garage, experimenting with the organic approach and have successfully grown produce and many flowering plants of all varieties.

Travelling the world, I have taken much inspiration from traditional and modern gardens styles, especially whilst volunteering on private gardens and farms in Mexico & India.

In the recent years, a pull to combine my creativity with the world of horticulture and landscaping, lead me to take a diploma in garden design at the British Academy Of Garden Design and now I am ready to create beautiful spaces.
